Cyanotype! september

Regular price $150.00

Join us for a hands-on monthly workshop that explores one of the oldest photographic processes. Whether you're a complete beginner or a working artist, this class invites you to experiment, play, and create one-of-a-kind prussian blue prints.

In this class, you’ll learn:

  • The fundamentals of the cyanotype process

  • How to mix chemistry, coat paper or fabric

  • How to use your own digital images, or everyday objects

  • How to print on socks, tote bags, shirts, and paper.

Each week, you'll leave with your own finished cyanotype artwork — unique to your vision and style. We'll also briefly introduce anthotypes (an eco-friendly plant-based printing method) for those interested in expanding their alternative photography skills.

All materials are provided, including chemistry, paper, fabric items (socks, tote bags, and shirts), and basic necessities for printing. If you'd like to print a digital photo, please email your image (at least one week in advance) so we can prepare a transparency for you before class.

We just ask that students bring their own flowers, leaves, or whatever small objects they'd like to use for exposing on their prints. And don’t forget to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy
